Force location update is available for the tracker app for Android (standard or deluxe editions). With this function, you can send a command to the tracker app in the map page to force a location update. This is a handy function if you need real-time location update in between the autonomous app''''s tracking interval.
Force location update will become available for iOS devices soon.

I thought this has been available for a while, at least for the past couple of weeks that I''ve been using the android app.

The strange thing is is that since yesterday, I''ve not been able to force an update, it worked before yesterday, now it doesn''t - I''m confused

Hello,
You might be confusing the "force update" in settings vs manually forcing an update by way of a button on the map.
