I am just writing here because it happens that for about 14 hours there is no location update. Could the reason be that the device is not moving/was switched off?
Is there any way I can avoid that from happening?
I need it to be updated even though it is not moving. I already put it into forced update every 30 minutes but the updates do not happen.

If the device is not moving, the forced update interval will kick in to update every 30 minutes. I am guessing that the device is switched off or location service is disabled.

Perhaps it doesn''t work as I thought it would? Here''s my story. For some time I had a top of the line Garmin that would send an email to my wife and she could click on the link and watch my progress in the car. My new car has built in nav so I thought this app would work similarly. I upgraded to the premium app. I emailed the HTML link and it showed my present location. I then went to my car, plugged the cell phone into the charger cable and made sure start was active. Upon returning from a brief three mile drive, the map did not update. It just showed the original position, home.
I have in settings the track interval as one minute. Is the app not capable of what I expect or might I have something set up wrong?

If you still have problem, you can send the log file to us. To send the log file, open the app and click About - Email to Supports. Make sure to write something in the body of the email to reference to this email. Otherwise, your log file will be ignored.

I seem to have a similar problem, yesterday i was tracking the phone (which was with me) and even though I drove 10 miles away (I was gone for an hour and 15 mins) came back it didnt register me leaving the village, tried unticking the gps and that only showed 2 miles away even though I had driven over 10 miles.

I have the same problem, yesterday I drove a few miles, with 30 min stop it took about 50 min. Came back home, opened "My Tracks", showed it updated locations at 04:34, 05:50 and 05:35 PM, even though it is set to update every 15 minutes. Forced update was working fine, with about 1 min delay. Today, even forced update doesn''t seem to work.
What is going on..?

This might be setting problem. Open the app setting and set the power saving mode to medium or low. This should improve your tracking.

I''m following my wife''s location and set the update interval on her phone to 10 minutes. I did that yesterday and the location on the map was updating every 10 minutes but right it seems that it is upgrading the location every 30 minutes. What is the reason? Somewhere I read that if the person is not moving then the interval changes to 30 minutes... is that correct??

I have the same problem... everything has been tracking with 1 minute intervals and settings are still the same. Yesterday I couldn''t get any tracking information until the following day. It seems to be doing the same today?

This could be an internet connection problem. Does the target phone still have cellular data plan, or does it travel to an area with no cellular coverage? The app could not upload location until it has a wifi connection, or some kind of cellular coverage.

The date says 8/9 on the map and it is 9/1? How do I get it to show the current date when I am trying to track my daughters whereabouts?

Having similar issues on our 11 yr old sons Windows phone (Lumia 535).
Have just upgraded to the paid version of the app, and during the day, there are no updates until later in afternoon - this is despite the phone being on, having a mobile data plan available, location being on, the app being pinned to main screen, and tracking set to 30mins.
Last tracking on the map is showing as 4:25pm yesterday!
Having looked at the log on the app, its appears to be tracking every 30mins, but the online map isn''t updating at the same rate.
If the map cant show us where he is during the day at regular intervals, and that he''''s got to /from school ok, then its pretty worthless TBH.
