I decided to download this to my daughters Kindle after it went missing for two days…upon looking on the website for the location it appeared that it was one block away in someone else''''s home.
Am i missing something here or did I set it up wrong?

Hello,

Was the date/time of that an older location and the kindle was waiting for another location poll?
You can also click on the "balloon" if it does not pop up to see the last time location was updated.

The Kindle Fire does not have GPS inside and therefore it has to rely on wifi triangulation to positioning. Sometimes, this technic is not very accurate. That is the limitation of a Kindle Fire.

Re "One block away in someone else''s home". Location always shows mine located in the same apartment (not randomly at any other) in an adjacent block. Dicey if you went there and demanded they give you back your Kindle! Not sure how really dependable the feature is.

Hello,

I would hope that you read the OP''s reply that clearly stated the hardware limitations on the Kindle.
