You need to disable this new Android settings "Unused apps - Remove permissions" (unused app hibernation), which is enabled by default. This setting places the app in a hibernation state where the app will stop running, if a user has not interact with the app for a few months. Since this app is designed to track in the background without user interaction, it is important that you disable this settings.
