In the last two months, several improvements have been made to the map page.

1. Travel direction (east, south, west etc.) is added inside the pin.
2. Arrow is added to the polyline between pins to show travel direction.
3. Pin with label replaces the ugly bubble text icon in the all-device view.
4. Google map javascript api replaces kml to generate breadcrumbs on the map. This gives us more control over the map and also improves map rendering performance.
5. Traffic layer is available in the map.

I have heard some positive feedbacks but no negative. Thank you all for supporting this site!

I believe it is when looking at the map you will see a button on the right side labeled "show traffic" that overlays traffic on the streets with congestion indicated by color.

This may be a silly question, but I''m going to ask anyways. :)

When viewing the traffic layer, is it current traffic at that moment? Or is it historical traffic data based on the time period you may be looking at? I guess it would be difficult to see historical as if someone were looking at several days worth of traveling, the traffic would/could be considerably different.

Never mind, I told you silly question. It would be cool to see though if it could be figured out. Then I can say oh, that''s why it took him an hour to get home instead of the normal 25 mins, traffic was all red.

This is the current traffic situation. It always shows the current traffic regardless if you are viewing a current location, or a past location. DMG Forums 3.2
